Wildlife Garden Birdhouse and Feeder - Nordic
This nesting box from Swedish brand Wildlife Garden doubles as both a birdhouse and bird feeder and can easily be adapted as the seasons change. In spring, it provides a safe place for nesting birds, and in autumn, it can quickly be converted into a bird feeder.
As a birdhouse, the nesting box is designed for sparrows and tits. It was developed in collaboration with ornithologists and includes important features, such as grooves that help the chicks climb up to the exit hole – essential when it is time for them to venture out and test their wings.
When feeding birds, it is important that they cannot sit directly in the food, as diseases spread easily on open bird feeders. In this nesting box, the food is protected from dirt, rain and snow, and the birds perch on rods while eating. The rods can also be pushed in so that only small birds can use them.
