Wildlife World birdhouse for robins - wicker

Award-winning woven birdhouse specially designed for the robin, from the British company Wildlife World. Designed by British nature photographer Simon King.

Robins prefer a nest with easy access through an open front, while also remaining concealed from predators. This birdhouse has been designed with this in mind, allowing robins easy access while keeping the nest itself hidden to one side. At the bottom, a small divider separates the entrance from the nest, ensuring that eggs and nesting material stay in place.

Ideally, hang the birdhouse in an area that already has dense vegetation, such as in shrubs or among climbing plants. However, robins will also happily move into a shed or similar structure, provided there is always unobstructed access.

Made with a steel frame and covered with natural wicker. The floor is covered with rattan, and a plastic lining beneath the roof protects against rain.

Also suitable for other bird species that prefer the same type of nest, such as wagtails and pied flycatchers.
