Hammocks

Here you will find hammocks and hanging chairs in good quality from English Cacoon and German La Siesta . Cacoon hammocks, or hanging caves perhaps more closely, are a unique and different experience where you lie inside better protected from the sun and wind. They can of course be used both indoors and outdoors, and doors and mosquito nets are available as accessories. La Siesta hammocks and hanging chairs are made in i.a. Colombia and Brazil following proud traditions - and at the same time lives up to the quality you would expect from a German producer. They are available in i.a. cotton and plastic, just as they are available in several sizes.

Hammocks for those who love to relax

Are you the kind of person who loves to lie comfortably and completely unwind after a hectic day at school or work? Then read on. We all have an idea of what the stereotypical tropical holiday island should look like. It should be surrounded by turquoise-blue sea, plenty of sand, palm trees and the obligatory hammock. And it is precisely the hammock that can be said to be synonymous with mindfulness and relaxation. At Hokus Krokus, we know that if you want to relax completely, a hammock – either indoors or outdoors – is the ideal solution.

Hammocks for the whole family

If you have previously had a hammock on your property, you will know that it quickly becomes the focal point and the household’s favourite place to relax, and this applies to children and adults alike. Children and the young at heart love being swung in a hammock, for example, while many adults also find inner peace by reading a good book, newspaper or magazine in a hammock.

In addition, the hammock has been used in many different contexts. We are all familiar with the expression “Get out of the hammock,” which is frequently written and said about politicians, among others, when they are perceived as being too relaxed by the wider population. In this context, it has negative connotations, but from our point of view, we would instead encourage people to “get into the hammock” – for at least a couple of minutes a day – to avoid stress and other unpleasant associated illnesses.

Hammocks for outdoor and indoor use

When the sun and spring really begin to take hold – typically not until the end of April in Denmark – it is about time to hang the hammock outdoors. You do not necessarily need 2 sturdy trees to tie the hammock between. In principle, 2 relatively thick round posts – approximately 4–5 metres apart – and 2 pieces of rope are all you need to hang the hammock. You can also choose to hang the hammock on a stand. However, you should be aware that hammocks on stands are not made for playing in, so you should not buy a hammock on a stand if children, for example, will use the hammock. If the hammock will also be used for play, it makes sense to invest in a hammock that can hang between 2 trees or 2 thick posts. Nevertheless, the hammock simply needs to be mounted at a suitable height so that there is no risk of hitting objects on the ground and so on. However, we always recommend that any play in a hammock takes place under adult supervision and that the play is not too wild.

Hammocks and hanging chairs can also easily be used indoors. At Hokus Krokus, we can offer, among other things, a large organic La Siesta hanging chair, which is handmade in Colombia. The extra-large La Siesta hanging chair, which is undyed and made from organic cotton, represents some of the finest products we can offer among hanging chairs and hammocks. We are also proud to offer the floating Cacoon den, which is a cross between a hammock, a hanging chair and a large suspended garden chair. The den can easily support 2 adults, up to 200 kg. We also have many other delightful, high-quality hammocks, hanging chairs and garden chairs, all made from the most durable, environmentally friendly materials.
