Features various herbs, flowers and medicinal plants that were grown in old monastery gardens. Monasteries spread throughout Europe in the 12th and 13th centuries, and with them came monastery gardens where nuns and monks grew herbs, medicinal plants and ornamental plants. Many of the plants came from Southern Europe and later spread to the Nordic fauna.
