The lantern can be powered by 3 standard AA batteries or by 2 rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion batteries, which provide significantly longer runtime. With the rechargeable batteries, the lantern can shine for up to 18 days at lower brightness and over 14 hours at full brightness. The batteries can be easily charged directly in the lantern via USB-C, so it is always ready for use. If you use AA batteries, you still get several days of illumination depending on the chosen light level.
