The lantern can be powered by 3 standard AA batteries or 2 rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion batteries, which provide a significantly longer runtime. With the rechargeable batteries, the lantern can provide light for up to 18 days at lower brightness and over 14 hours at full brightness. The batteries can easily be charged directly in the lantern via USB-C, so it is always ready for use. If you use AA batteries, you still get several days of light, depending on the selected brightness level.
