I have a fridge/freezer that, rather inconveniently, struggles a bit when the summer weather calls for cold drinks and ice cubes. All the various clever plastic- and silicone-based ice cube trays never really freeze properly, but a steel ice cube tray does—and pretty quickly too. The tray is super clever, makes a lot of ice for its size, and is quick and easy to empty and refill. The only downside is that it is difficult to clean properly without a dishwasher.
Just need to get used to the fact that it has to thaw first before the ice cubes come loose.
