This birdhouse from Swedish Wildlife Garden is both a nesting box and a bird feeder, and can easily be converted at the end of the season. In spring, it provides a safe place for birds to breed. In autumn, it can easily be converted into a bird feeder.
As a nesting box, this birdhouse is suitable for sparrows and tits. It was developed in collaboration with ornithologists and features important details such as climbing grooves leading up to the exit hole – vital for the little chicks when they are ready to venture out and test their wings.
When feeding birds, it is important that they cannot sit in the food. Diseases spread easily on open bird tables. In this birdhouse, the food is protected from dirt, rain and snow, and the birds perch on rods while eating. The rods can also be pushed in so that only small birds can perch there.
