Peregrine falcon made of solid cast iron from Swedish Wildlife Garden .
The bird is very realistic and made according to an old technique called mold casting, where liquid iron is poured into a mold that can only be used once. This means that the entire bird - including the legs and feet - is made of one piece of cast iron without joints.
The cast iron is coated with a black surface treatment, which can initially cause a bit of contamination - therefore feel free to use felt pads.
Can also be placed outdoors where it will eventually acquire a rusty patina.
