This beautiful red cottage from Sweden’s Wildlife Garden is both a birdhouse and a bird feeder that can easily be converted at the end of the season. In spring, it provides a safe place for birds to nest. In autumn, it can easily be converted into a bird feeder.

As a birdhouse, this cottage is designed for sparrows and tits. It was developed in collaboration with ornithologists and features important details such as climbing grooves leading up to the entrance hole – vital for the little chicks when they are ready to venture out and test their wings.

When feeding birds, it is important that they cannot sit in the food. Diseases spread easily on open bird feeders. In this cottage, the food is protected from dirt, rain and snow, and the birds perch on rods while eating. The rods can also be pushed in so that only small birds can perch there.
