Hercules owl box/falcon box

Beautiful solid oak owl/falcon nesting box of sturdy quality.

In the wild, owls nest in holes in old trees, but as many forests often lack old, suitable trees, putting up an owl box can be a good idea. In places where this has been done, owl populations have been seen to grow. Tawny owls in particular are very happy to move into installed owl boxes.

The owl box should be placed high up and preferably face away from the prevailing wind direction. It is also important that there are no branches in the immediate vicinity of the entrance hole. 

Please note that small cracks are to be expected, as this is a completely natural material.
