Koustrup's Small Whites - Spiced Schnapps
1 reviewsHerbal schnapps is the essence of applied botany; natural and cultural history infused with sunshine and wonderful experiences in nature. What is more, achieving good results is easy and quite simple. No boiling, frying or roasting is required. Simply take some suitable plant parts and leave them to infuse in alcohol for an appropriate length of time before separating the plants from the liquid once again. A surprising number of species from the wild and the garden are suitable for making truly excellent herbal schnapps – with various possibilities among roots, leaves, stems, buds, catkins, flowers, seeds and fruits. At the same time, the schnapps can serve as an alternative herbarium, and every time you enjoy a dram, you can remember where you picked the ingredients.

He writes weekly about gardens and nature for Weekendavisen and is the author and co-author of, among other works, Danmarks insekter, Danmarks træer og buske, Danmarks Skove and Skovene (Naturen i Danmark). Susanne Weitemeyer painted the beautiful illustrations.
