Wildlife Garden wooden bird - oystercatcher
EUR 51.95
The hand-carved oystercatcher is made of lime wood and subsequently hand-painted with environmentally friendly colors.
The oystercatcher is a wading bird that spends the winter in Holland, Belgium, and Northern France, and returns to Denmark in February. It primarily feeds on mussels - and in English, it is indeed called an oystercatcher. The oystercatcher is the national bird of the Faroe Islands.
The wooden bird is part of the Swedish Wildlife Garden's series of decorative birds, which consists of some of the most popular birds. The series is constantly expanding and new lifelike bird species are added.
