Wildlife Garden wood bird - large woodpecker

Large woodpecker skillfully hand-carved from lime wood and subsequently hand-painted with environmentally friendly colors. The wooden figure is mounted on a piece, also hand-carved, branch/tree stump. Legs and feet are made of thick steel wire covered with rope.

In nature, the large woodpecker is about 23 cm long and so is this version, i.e. it is a 1:1 representation. A really beautiful piece of craftsmanship suitable for both bird enthusiasts and as decoration, but also for educational purposes.

This is a male bird which can be recognized by the red spot on the neck.

The large woodpecker is the most common woodpecker in Denmark.
